Nothing says anti-American quite like criticism of one of the country's founding attitudes ... rugged individualism. And suggesting that collectivism is warm and fuzzy is to ignore virtually all of political history. But that's just what Islamunist Mayor Mamdani just did in his inauguration speech. It's going to be an interesting few years. I'm not sure how much actual power he has to implement his grand socialist vision but I guess we'll find out. It'll be interesting to see the wealth flow out of the big apple while those seeking the very temporary warmth of collectivism flow right in.
The Warmth of Collectivism
[Intro]
[Verse 1]
Oh, gather 'round comrades, let's sing of the heat,
That glorious warmth from the collective's sweet beat.
We'll replace the frigidity of rugged individualism,
With the warmth of collectivism—ain't that a thrill-ism?
[Chorus]
Feel the warmth, feel the warmth, of a hundred million gone,
From Stalin's purges to Mao's great leap—such a cozy swan song!
The Gulag fires were toasty, the famines hugged you tight,
In the warmth of collectivism, everything's alright!
[Verse 2]
In the Soviet embrace, twenty-five million chilled to the bone,
But hey, it was for the greater good—nobody starved alone!
China's Cultural Revolution, sixty-five million in the pyre,
That warmth spread far and wide, like a collective funeral fire.
[Chorus]
Feel the warmth, feel the warmth, Pol Pot's fields were so green,
Two million Cambodians hugged the earth—best collective they've seen!
No frigid individualism, just equality in the grave,
The warmth of collectivism, wave after wave!
[Verse 3]
Meanwhile, in those cold capitalist lands, so selfish and mean,
Life expectancy doubled—from thirty to seventy, what a scene!
From 1800's misery to vaccines, iPhones, and flight,
Poverty plunged from ninety percent—damn that frigid light!
[Bridge]
Oh Zohran, your words are so touching and bold,
That "warmth" sounds familiar—it's the heat from bodies cold.
A hundred million testimonials, from the Black Book's grim tally,
Nothing says "community" like a forced-labor rally!
[Chorus]
Feel the warmth, feel the warmth, as extremes fall to ten percent low,
Thanks to markets and trade— but that's frigid, don't you know?
We'll trade rugged freedom for that collectivist glow,
The warmth of collectivism—where the millions all go!
[Outro]

The “Warmth of Collectivism” Is a Dangerous Fantasy
There was a line in Zohran Mamdani’s inaugural address that should have stopped New Yorkers cold. He pledged to replace what he called “the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism.”
That sentence is not merely misguided. It is historically illiterate, morally reckless, and deeply un-American.
Collectivism is not a metaphor. It is a governing philosophy with a long and bloody record.
