I'll wait it out, I'll write it down, I'll dial again and hold my ground

I'm gonna be honest. Sometimes it feels like you're never gonna get it done. Most times, that's not an option. At work, at home, in the community, where things matter.
This is a story of personal perseverance in a business setting. Sometimes the vendors and partners you work with just seem to not want your business. In this case, they weren't going to get paid if she didn't get a notarized form.
It took too long. It shouldn't have been that hard. But that's the way they wanted to play it.
Perseverance Carries Me Through
[Verse 1]
Six and a half weeks of waiting on a signature, Thirteen emails sent, thirteen came back unsure. I picked up the phone more times than I could count, Kept my voice steady while the frustration climbed on out.
[Pre-Chorus] One call got heated, I won't pretend it didn't, Something about a fire, lit under someone's business. Didn't want to say it, but the truth was overdue — This shouldn't take forever, this shouldn't fall on you.
[Chorus]
But I'll wait it out, I'll write it down, I'll dial again and hold my ground. Call it patience, call it fire in my chest, This is perseverance, doing what is right, not what's easiest. Oh, perseverance, carries me through.
[Verse 2]
First affidavit came without the seal in place, I asked for notarization, they came back making a case — "No notary on-site," that's what they had to say, So I sent them one right down the road, just half a mile away.
[Pre-Chorus]
That kind email got ignored like it never came, So I wrote it plain and simple, put the terms up on the page. No affidavit, no payment — that's the way it reads, Copied in the boss this time, so everybody sees.
[Chorus]
And I'll wait it out, I'll write it down, I'll dial again and hold my ground. Call it patience, call it fire in my chest, This is perseverance, doing what is right, not what's easiest. Oh, perseverance, carries me through.
[Bridge] Funny how it happened, the very same day, Once the words were clear, they found another way. Imagine that. It really shouldn't have been that hard, But that's the way they wanted to play their part.
[Instrumental]
[Final Chorus]
So I waited it out, I wrote it down, I dialed again and held my ground. Call it patience, call it fire in my chest, That was perseverance, doing what was right, not what was easiest. Oh, perseverance — it carried me through. Perseverance — it carried me through.
[Outro]
Imagine that... it really shouldn't have been that hard... But we got there in the end, six and a half weeks and thirteen emails long.
