The Southern California wild fires brought so much devastation and pain not the least of which for the graduating class of 2025. Steve Carell heard the call for help and stepped in with Alice's Kids to bring a little light and hope by supporting the proms for 6 Altadena high schools.

This piece is meant to highlight this kind deed.

Ashes to Dances

[Instrumental Intro]

[Verse 1]

Flames came roaring through our sunny hills,

Took our homes, left us in the chills.

Senior year turned to smoke and tears,

Dreams of dancing lost in fears.

Families scattered, hearts on hold,

But deep inside, a spark of gold.

[Chorus]

Oh, that kind-hearted soul from the silver screen,

Saw our pain, stepped in between.

Gave us tickets to twirl and sway,

Turned our ashes into a brighter day.

With a smile that lit up the night,

You made our prom shine so bright.

Thank you, stranger with a giving hand,

For helping us rise, take a stand.

[Verse 2]

A surprise message on that assembly day,

Words of hope chased the gray away.

Eight hundred strong, we felt the cheer,

No more worries, the path was clear.

Dressed in gowns under twinkling lights,

We laughed and spun through the healing nights.

[Instrumental solo]

[Bridge]

Your gift sparked more than just one eve,

Waves of kindness, hard to believe.

Spirits lifted, donations flowed,

In our hearts, a forever glow.

From wildfire scars to joyful beats,

You showed us love in times of defeat.

[Outro]

Yeah, we're dancing free, under California skies,

Thanks to you, our spirits fly high.
